AI is usually introduced into teams as a tool for speed. It drafts faster, searches faster, summarizes faster, and produces options faster.
But speed is not the only consequence. AI also changes what teams compare, what they remember, which alternatives feel available, and which forms of reasoning become normal.
A different question
The question is not whether AI can make knowledge work more efficient. It can. The more important question is whether AI expands or narrows the group's field of thought.
A well-designed AI workflow should make sources, uncertainty, disagreement, and alternatives more visible, not less.
