Collective Thinking Systems
Designing environments where teams can reason together.
Context
Teams working on complex problems often have enough expertise, but lack a shared environment for holding questions, evidence, disagreement, and decisions together.
Problem
Important conversations disappear into meetings, documents fragment across tools, and decisions become detached from the reasoning that produced them.
Method
- Map how the team currently thinks: meetings, documents, roles, tools, and decision points.
- Design lightweight shared artifacts that keep questions, assumptions, and trade-offs visible.
- Prototype rituals for collective attention, decision review, and knowledge capture.
Outcome
A clearer operating system for group thinking: fewer lost decisions, better shared memory, and more explicit reasoning around complex work.
